Shine Manchester are a friendly group of adults with cancer who meet up once a month in Manchester to spend time with other people who just ‘get it’. Our meet ups change monthly and we do a variety of activities such as, pubs, cafe’s, walks, craft, meals, etc. We’re run by volunteer Network Leaders who have their own diagnosis and we would love new people to come along and join us!
To find out about our next event please click below or drop the Manchester Network an email at manchester@shinecancersupport.org. We’d love to hear from you!
Meet Manchester’s volunteer network leader, Hannah!
“Hi, I am Hannah! I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2014 and have been treated at both Salford Royal and The Christie. My treatment has included chemotherapy, stem cell transplant and radiotherapy. Shine has been great at helping realise why sometime this stuff is challenging and not always ok, while also introducing me to lots of wonderful people. I now have many new friends who just get it!”
