We’re over the moon to announce that Shine Cancer Support will feature on a BBC Lifeline Appeal on Sunday 23rd February 2025 at 12:50pm on BBC One.

Our appeal hosted is by David Caves from BBC’s Silent Witness.

Rena, Charlotte, and Will were kind enough to open up about their cancer diagnosis’, how they have been affected, and how Shine has been able to support them. Their willingness to share has meant that cancer’s impact on young adults is clearly and powerfully portrayed, and all of us here at Shine are incredibly grateful to them.

Please support Shine Cancer Support’s appeal by spreading the word, watching and donating! With your help, we can make sure that no young adult in the UK faces cancer alone.

Shine Cancer Support’s BBC Lifeline Appeal airs on BBC One on the 23rd February 2025 at 12:50pm.

If you’re unable to watch on the 23rd February at 12:50pm, our appeal will air the following week on BBC Two on the 27th February at 2:35am and the 28th February at 12:50pm.

Behind the Scenes

We had a brilliant time filming with the BBC for our Lifeline Appeal!

Rena, Charlotte, and Will were fantastic and we’re so grateful to them for taking the time to share their stories. David Caves did an incredible job with presenting our appeal and we were so excited to be there on filming day to watch him smash it!

Here are a few behind the scenes photos taken by Team Shine and the hard-working folks at the BBC…
