If you're in your 20s, 30s or 40s and have experienced a cancer diagnosis, join us for Shine Connect 2019, the UK's only conference for young adults with cancer. The conference is open to any young adult with cancer, their family/partners/friends and healthcare professionals.
Taking place on Saturday 11th May at the Kings Fund in London, Shine Connect is an annual conference to enable you to: meet others, help others and share your experiences as well as hear from experts in the cancer field.
We've got some great sessions and amazing speakers lined up this year! By joining us you'll hear from other young adults about how they cope with cancer, and also listen to our keynote speaker, neuro-psychologist Dr. Stuart Anderson, who will be talking about "chemo brain" - why it's real and what we can do about it! We've also got smaller workshops on topics including managing relationships, alternative routes to parenthood (e.g. through adoption and surrogacy), supporting children through a parent's diagnosis, getting active after cancer - and more!
Lunch is included in your ticket price and our exhibition space will have free massages, therapy dogs, a virtual reality demonstration, as well as some great organisations to chat to.
We hope the video below from the 2018 Shine Connect event will give you an insight for the day and what it can offer you:
