Ceinwen has extensive experience in the charity sector both in the UK and internationally. Prior to her work with Shine, she worked for an international development consultancy firm where her clients included the United Nations and the UK's Department for International Development. She has worked as a programme manager in a wide variety of fields including health, community development, and sexual and reproductive rights in countries including the UK, Canada, Sierra Leone, Vietnam, Thailand and Tanzania. She is highly experienced in grant management and, between 2007 and 2012, managed a £14 million fund for the Department for International Development.
Ceinwen was diagnosed with Stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma six weeks after her daughter was born prematurely. She began working with Emma after meeting her in 2010 and together with the other Trustees, they have grown Shine into a national organisation. Ceinwen is now Director of Partnerships and Evaluation and oversees Shine's fundraising activities. In addition to her work with Shine, Ceinwen is a Trustee for the Point of Care Foundation and is a member of the General Advisory Council of the King's Fund.
